The “Narai-juku Ice Candle Festival,” held annually on February 3, is a small and heartwarming event that began with the wish for “children to live healthy and happy lives.”
During the festival, approximately 2,000 handmade ice candles, created by local families, illuminate the historic streets of this Edo-era post town. The magical scenery offers a moment to forget the harsh winter cold and fills the heart with warmth. This year’s festival will also be held on February 3.
